Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Built In Public ("the Platform"). By accessing, browsing, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. This is a binding agreement between you and the Platform. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease all use of our services.

2. The Karma Economy

Built In Public operates on a virtual currency system known as "Karma."

• Karma is a virtual utility token with no real-world monetary value. It cannot be exchanged for cash, legal tender, or any other currency.
• We reserve the right to modify Karma costs, refill rates (Daily Refills), and earning mechanics at any time without notice.
• Karma can be earned through platform engagement, daily logins, and our Referral Program.
• Spamming or manipulating the platform to "farm" Karma is strictly prohibited and will result in account termination.

3. Referral & Growth Program

Our Referral Program allows you to earn rewards for inviting new builders to the arena.

• Referrer Reward: You receive 500 Karma for every successful referral who completes their onboarding.
• New Builder Reward: Every user joining via a referral link receives a 250 Karma welcome bonus.
• Self-referral or the creation of "alt accounts" to claim referral rewards is a violation of these terms.

4. User Accounts & Identity

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. We primarily use Google OAuth for authentication to ensure "Proof of Human." You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

5. User-Generated Content

You own the rights to the projects, ideas, and updates you post. However, by posting on Built In Public, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content within our ecosystem. We do not tolerate "fake hustle" or plagiarized projects.

6. Termination of Access

We reserve the right to suspend or delete your account, including all your accumulated Karma, projects, and team memberships, if you violate these terms or engage in behavior detrimental to the builder community.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is." We are not liable for any data loss, loss of "virtual goods," or interruptions in service. Your use of the Platform is at your own risk.
